Dr. Colin Hill and Professor Brian Blume met in 2008 at Indiana University, where they were both completing their masters degrees in performance. While playing in several ensembles together, Hill and Blume realized they had a musical connection. After graduating, they wanted to see their artistic collaborations continue and founded the BluHill Percussion Duo in 2011. The duo has performed at multiple PAS events, including PASIC 2015 in San Antonio, Texas. In addition to performing concerts and clinics at numerous high schools and universities throughout the United States, both Hill and Blume maintain solo careers as performers and educators.

Dr. Hill currently serves as Assistant Professor of Percussion at Tennessee Tech University in Cookeville, TN. As an active performer, Colin performs regularly with the Lexington Philharmonic Orchestra, Xplorium Chamber Ensemble, EnVaGe Chamber Ensemble, and REP Theatre Company. Colin received his doctoral degree from the University of Kentucky, master’s degree from Indiana University, and bachelor’s degree from the University of North Texas.
